DELIA GERENDI
Always looking for adventures and new experiences, Delia's great passion is to experiment and push the limits of the possibilities that can be attempted using polymer clay. With over 12 years of experience in the field, her artworks are characterized by strong, playful colors and carefully planned assembly methods.
Delia's projects, often born from a spark of inspiration or a simple sketch, evolve organically during her creative process. They undergo a series of captivating transformations, each one bringing them closer to their final, breathtaking form.
Delia is also one of the writers of the Polymer Week publication, always looking for new talents and actively involved in numerous projects aimed at strengthening the community of artists working with polymer clay.
The project is a dialog between a vibrant interplay of colors, geometric shapes and refined patterns and textures. The result is a harmonious and visually captivating composition that is rich in variety but conveys a sense of unity.
The beauty of this project lies in its versatility – the final jewelry pieces can be assembled as either brooches or pendants, offering flexibility to suit individual preferences
Throughout this workshop, you will have the opportunity to explore various surface treatments and techniques, with a special emphasis on crafting lightweight sculptural jewelry pieces
During the workshops, we will be providing pasta machines for polymer clay and work surfaces.
What should you bring with you?
A kit containing all the tools you usually use when working, such as blades, cutters, rollers, textures, modeling tools, dotting tools, brushes, needles, etc.
A battery-powered work light and magnifying glasses can be helpful, but they are not necessary.
Our retreat is scheduled to take place in Menton, which is located on the French Riviera. Often referred to as the Pearl of France, this small picturesque coastal town is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in France. It's a great place to wander around, with its small winding streets that lead to several cafes, restaurants, and small gift shops. Many of the products sold in these shops are based on the local lemons, which are a symbol of the city. During the retreat, we will explore the town and its colorful houses, fabulous staircases, stone mosaics, and ceramic murals. You will also get a chance to relax on the beach and swim in the turquoise sea or visit the town and its beautiful gardens.
