Between creative sessions, you will encounter iconic wildlife, explore world-famous natural wonders, and enjoy the easy elegance of Australia’s coastal lifestyle.

Day 1 – Arrival in Brisbane

Your Australian journey begins in Brisbane, Queensland’s vibrant riverfront capital.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Take time to settle in and relax after your flight.

In the evening, you will gather with your fellow participants and instructors for a welcome dinner. This relaxed evening is the perfect opportunity to meet the teachers, connect with the group, and hear more about the creative experiences awaiting you during the retreat.

 

Day 2 – Brisbane Highlights & Australian Wildlife

Today you will discover Brisbane during a guided walking tour through its lively city center. Stroll along scenic riverfront promenades, admire the mix of contemporary architecture and historic buildings, and experience the laid-back sophistication that defines this dynamic city.

Later, you will visit the renowned Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, one of Australia’s most beloved wildlife parks. Here you can observe koalas resting in eucalyptus trees and encounter kangaroos and other native animals in a beautiful natural setting.

The remainder of the day is free to enjoy Brisbane at your own pace.

 

Day 3 – Bead Workshop

Your creative retreat begins with your first beadwork workshop.

Day 4 – Bead & Craft Shopping in Brisbane

Today is dedicated to exploring Brisbane’s bead and craft stores.

You will visit specialized bead shops and craft boutiques where you can discover a wide range of unique materials, tools, and inspiration for future projects.

This day offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the creative culture of beadwork while discovering new resources and ideas.

 

Day 5 – Excursion to Moreton Island

Today you embark on a memorable excursion to Moreton Island, one of Queensland’s natural treasures.

Your day begins with check-in at the wharf before boarding a scenic ferry for the approximately 75-minute journey across Moreton Bay. Enjoy a complimentary beverage as you take in the beautiful ocean views.

Upon arrival at Tangalooma Island Resort, you will join a whale-watching cruise (seasonal). During the cruise, expert commentary will introduce you to the fascinating behaviors and habitats of these magnificent marine mammals.

A light lunch and refreshments will be served on board.

After returning to the resort, you may choose to attend the “Discover the World of Dolphins” presentation at the Eco Centre or simply enjoy the facilities of the resort, including pools, restaurants, and beachfront areas.

In the late afternoon, you return to Brisbane.

 

Day 6 – Bead Workshop

Today is your second workshop.

Afternoon: 14:00 – 17:00

 

Day 7 – Leisure Day in Brisbane

Enjoy a relaxed day to explore Brisbane at your own pace.

You may wish to visit the City Botanic Gardens, explore the vibrant cultural district at South Bank, discover hidden cafés along the river, or browse galleries and boutiques.

 

Day 8 – Journey to Tropical Cairns

Today you travel north to Cairns, the gateway to Australia’s tropical north.

After your flight (about 2 hours), you will arrive in a completely different landscape—lush rainforest, warm ocean breezes, and a relaxed tropical atmosphere.

Transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. You may wish to stroll along the Cairns Esplanade, admire views across the Coral Sea, or relax at the waterfront lagoon.

 

Day 9 – Great Barrier Reef Experience

Today you will experience one of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders: the Great Barrier Reef.

You will board a comfortable boat and cruise to the reef for a full-day adventure. Crystal-clear waters reveal vibrant coral gardens and colorful marine life.

You may choose to snorkel among tropical fish or simply relax on deck while enjoying the breathtaking scenery.

Accessible options are available, including:

- Glass-bottom boat reef viewing

- Semi-submarine reef exploration

- Reef viewing platforms suitable for guests with reduced mobility

 

Day 10 – Bead Workshop

Your creative retreat continues with your third beadwork workshop.

Day 11 – Skyrail Rainforest Cableway & Kuranda Scenic Railway

Today you will discover the beauty of the tropical rainforest during an unforgettable journey to Kuranda.

A short transfer will bring you to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, where you will glide above the rainforest canopy, enjoying spectacular views during the 1.5-hour journey.

Upon arrival in the charming mountain village of Kuranda, you will have time to explore its vibrant markets, galleries, and artisan shops. The village is home to many artists and craftspeople.

Optional visits include:

- Koala Gardens

- Birdworld

- Australian Butterfly Sanctuary

Later, you will return to Cairns aboard the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway, enjoying beautiful views of waterfalls and rainforest landscapes along the way.

This excursion is accessible for guests with reduced mobility.

 

Day 12 – Leisure Day in Cairns

Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

Relax by the waterfront lagoon, explore the city’s markets and boutiques, or simply enjoy the laid-back tropical atmosphere of Cairns.

 

Day 13 – Bead Workshop

Today you participate in your final workshop.

Day 14 – Excursion to Palm Cove

Today you will visit the charming seaside village of Palm Cove, located about 30 minutes north of Cairns.

This picturesque coastal destination is known for its palm-lined beach, elegant resorts, and relaxed tropical ambiance. Stroll along the scenic esplanade, enjoy lunch at a beachfront café, or simply relax while overlooking the Coral Sea.

Palm Cove offers the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Tropical North Queensland.

 

Day 15 – Return to Brisbane & Farewell Dinner

Today you return to Brisbane.

After your flight from Cairns, you will transfer to your hotel.

In the evening, you will gather for a farewell dinner, celebrating the unforgettable experiences shared throughout your Australian retreat.

 

Day 16 – Departure

After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

You will return home enriched with beautiful handmade jewelry, new creative inspiration, and unforgettable memories of your artistic journey through Australia.
